A DEAR FRIEND, LOVELY LADY

Yesterday was a very sad day for me and our family. I lost a very dear friend, Sarah Jenkins. Sarah has been a very important part of our lives. She and Leonard began their careers in the insurance business on the same day in 1951. She and Leonard worked together for approximately 35 years, Leonard retiring from American General in l986. Leonard and Sarah were soon joined by Nancy Northcutt and the three were like The Three Musketeers. They were very protective of Leonard and always had a snack or orange juice if needed. He loved both of those girls just as much as they did him. Services for Sarah will be Saturday, October 25 at 1:00. This picture was made last summer when I was asked to write down the names of about 35 ladies who had made a difference in my life. This was for my 80th birthday. Certainly that included Sarah! The above picture shows Sarah at far end of table, Susan Mullen, my daughter Judy and Joyce Hanna (a friend of Sarah's).

Sarah always had a sweet smile. I will miss her. We communicated almost daily by email. To God be the glory for the gift of friendship.

Sarah and Nancy are a big part of my childhood memories. I am so very sad to hear of Sarah's death. May God be with you, Nancy, Walter and the family, as well as all Sarah's friends, as you grieve her passing.

Merry

P.S. I loved the way she loved you and my Daddy.

What a loss to everyone who knew Sarah. That smile and heart will never be forgotten, We will be thinking and praying for Walter and family. Sarah was so good to my Dad. How blessed he was to have Sarah and Nancy all those years.
