Natali - The day she became an American

Pictures from Citizenship Day - September 25, 2008

It was a delightful day that we had been looking forward to for
four years. I was just delighted that I could be a part of it.
When our wonderful Natali recieved her citizenship certificate
from Judge Wiseman, we were so proud of her.
Natali has had several disappointments since she came
from Ukraine. She has conquered them all.
I am so lucky to have her in my life.
The last picture was made at the Omni Hut
where Hugh took several members of our family
that night for a celebration.
I salute you for all you have conquered and finally
with Yegor and Kirill you are Americans

CHAD WITH CHANEY AT CHICKAMAUGA, GA

Chad first on left of stage, click on pix to enlarge

This is our Chad Man in North Georgia
waiting on stage for the appearance of
VP Chaney. Chad was keeping a good
look over the crowd and trying to keep
the covered portrait on easel that
was to be presented to VP from falling
as wind was strong. At any rate he was
supposed to be looking at crowd and
all of sudden the flag came tumbling and
he had to jump three steps to get out
of the way, Half the frame fell.
You might look at Chaney's speech
Sept 19 and see more pictures.
Chad, Lisa, Kyle and Gaege spent their
first night with Nana last night.
We slept everywhere but Nana enjoyed it.
Kyle is a freshman this year and playing
football. I will try to see him play this year.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN THE COUNTRY

The finishing touchs are beginning at Springland.
It is a peaceful place with lots of acres of
trees, springs and even a hummingbird darting
around now and then.
The motor home that Hugh brought out
and parked gives us a cool place to
brew a nice cup of that amber brew, from our
old fashion pot,
The log cabin across the bridge is a lovely site,
with a few more finishing touchesit will be complete.
It now fashions a little stained glass window.
All we wanted to do was read!
Lots of balled boxwoods are stored near the spring
and watered daily to be transferred
when the time is right. Louis says
no, but every Southern gal
wants a magnolia.

Baby Sister draws Social Security

On the 30th of October about 60 people gathered
At Michelle and Keith's home in Hermitage
to celebrate Polly's special day. We can't tell
which one here, it's secret.
However she feels safe and secure with
that S.S. coming in each month.
It was a lovely occasion and we wish
for her many more days of
happiness. Pictured you see the
Three Little Sisters
Gwen, Dot, Polly
I can tell you that her sisters are
81 and 82. They are proud of it too.
I made a picture from my desk of my precious
love, and from porch window of my
hummingbirds.

A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES. Rob and Jean

I blog today honoring Leonard's lovely brother
and his beautiful wife, Virginia.
A few weeks ago Hugh and Natali drove
Leonard's sister, Geraldine and I to
Maryville to see them. We had
not seen them since Leonards
visitation, and had been wishing to go to see them
for some time.
It was a great couple of hours we were
able to visit with them.
Robert enjoyed talking about the 2 1/2 month
trip that the six of us made to Alaska.
It was such a great trip and gave these
three siblings long nights to sit out
and reminisce about childhood,
the farm and parents.
They remind me of lines to a song I have heard:
Through changing seasons we've shared
life's little day.
Still in love, though autumn's coming on.
Those seasons change, hand and hand we'll
travel on, Still in love, though Autumn's coming on.
